More muscles anyone ?

I have made a decision. This morning in fact. I dug out my copy of the Optimum Anabolics by Jeff “the Muscle Nerd” Anderson. I’ve had it for about 18 months, and I did look at it when I bought it, but it seemed a little complicated to the debutante I was back then, so it got filed away on my computer. 160+ pages, but I plowed through them this morning (after doing some re-arranging in the house, answering e-mails and taking care of soem people on a nother forum). LOL, after saying that a 12-week program is too much, this thing goes out with 24 weeks - renewable! Still, not as bad as it sounds. Jeff gives you 3-week periods with change of pace, intencity AND diet cycling in 3 variables, so you really have 9-week periods divided into 3 times 3 (if that made sense). (3+3+3)x3 if you like. No calculations even, there’s a link to a spreadsheet that does it all for you (good, because the pages of formulas he has in the book for the math nerds, I didn’t understand at all!)

Like most of us, I’m sure you occasionally reach for some aspirin, Tylenol or Advil, or something similar. Governments gone crazy

Well, maybe no the entire government, but someone in there is not thinking straight.

Explanation:  I just heard from a trainee in Norway, that the supermarkets there are copying a practice which has been in place in Sweden for the past 12 years. It seems that it’s also either already in place or at least coming to Great Britain as well.

A sign on the packaging of foods in the stores. OK, so? So, this sign is a “healthy food sign” meant to help consumers choose healthy foods when they do their grocery-shopping. Sounds good, right?

Rainy day - great mood

Who cares that it’s raining when the fat weight is going the right way: down ? I know I don’t.

Almost 2 lbs down in one week. Yes, I keep saying “don’t depend on the scales alone” and I don’t of course.  My calipers indicated a drop of a little more fat then the scales, in other words I’ve added a morsel of lean mass this week.

How do I know added lean is muscle?  Let me answer by asking you this: how do you propose to add organ- and bone-weight?  In other words, whatever addition you get on the lean has to be muscle, ok?

Here we are, 4 weeks away from the end of the Xooma Challenge …

I’m still a little “under the weather” but getting better and should be ok to hit the gym in a day or two. In the mean time, I keep up my walks outside and the nutrition plan, weight is going down.

Lewis got over it faster than I did, and is walking at lunch-time now that the heat has subsided (fall is great for that).  His weight is on a steady downward slope which not only makes him happy, but will also please his doctor on Friday (just a regular check-up), and there are forgotten things in the closet which now fit again.
