Oops :)

Did I not post yesterday? Sorry!

I actually had a very good workout on my back yesterday. Not only did I go up on the weights, I even went up on the reps with the higher weights! It feels so good when that happens :)
Today I feel my pecs and shoulders still from Monday, and my lats and traps are tight too from yesterday. Abs and calves? Well, I did work them too, but do they feel as though I did? Never.

Chest, shoulders, abs

I was in the gym at 9 am this morning, on schedule. That helps. Having a set time for your workouts, knowing you have to go because your windows calendar pops up a reminder for you to get your butt off the chair and into the gym.

I warmed up with 15# Dbs on the flat bench, no Barbell presses alone thank you, need a spotter for that. The rest of the chest workout went as follows:

Db benchpress, 3 sets of 6 reps each with succesively 35, 30 and 25 lbs Dumbbells

then

Cycle # 2

Of what?  Metabolic Surge by Nick Nilsson.

Cycle 1 went fine. OK, I did have a splitting head ache for three days - due, according to Nick, to the toxins released from the burning fat - other than that I was fine.

This time, I’ll do heavier workouts, get the muscles going! Sure, I did last week too, got pecs, triceps and lats sore enough to know I had them, but with the sciatica the legs didn’t get worked at all, other than one calf training! Bummer!

Green tea’s cancer fighting ability has been well established in both animal models and human trials. If you want to grab your copy soon, you’ll have to get it in the next few days or they’ll probably be gone.

One more week

30_mai_06.jpg

One more week and we’ve got through January. Why does that month always seem so much longer than the others, even with events going on and things happening, it just seems to drag on and on and on …. but finally there are only 7 days left of it, until next year.

Green Tea Beats Prostate Cancer

“Everyone” says you should drink coffee before a workout, so that the caffein hits the bloodstream half way through said workout and gives you an energy boost.

Personally I find that drinking coffee before a workout makes me nauseous half way through it! Quite apart from the fact that I can’t stand black coffee - cream and sugar for me please, or no coffee at all. Besides, it’s so darned hard to find a really good coffee made just right. Pure Columbian I like, Kenya Blue Mountain as well, but if the final preparation isn’t right, it still won’t taste good. And I find that the odour of coffee is so much better than the actual taste, I’m disappointed every time.

Today’s workout

No cardio this morning. I preferred the extra hour sleep, knowing I had arms on the program later on! You may wonder why I “worry” about that. Why do I just do arms alone? Well, have a look at this:

I use warm up sets rather than cardio. Thses are lighter than my work sets, and I usually do one or two for 12-15 reps.

This is a true bodybuilder superset, you need to feel the outer traps work. That’s the part you can touch when you reach across your body to below your other arm, or what will be visible lats seen facing you!
