Last warm day of 2006?

For some weird reason, it’s over 15ºC in Montreal today. The calendar says November 30th though, does this make sense? Not to me anyway. The good thing about it, is that the cost of heating is being kept down, and it’s not too uncomfortable to walk the dogs. On the other hand, it’s very drab and grey outside, no leaves to make it green and lush and no snow to brighten things up. Sad.

P.S. :)

Well, sort of a PS, since it ends up being on top of the entry I’m PS’ing for :)
I just wanted you to know about this guy, this friend who sent me the letter I posted in the previous blog entry just now.

Jon Benson is something else. If there is a chemical remedy to something, he’ll look and search and not give up till he’s found a natural alternative! Even if it means moving from Texas to Washington (State)!

A good way to count down to New Year …

… and end up looking great in the process! This just came in from a friend of mine:

RE: A ‘guaranteed’ way to shed more
fat in 30 days than you have in
30 months

Do me a favor, –

Look at today’s date.

Then, count forward to January 1st, 2007.

What do you come up with? Well, unless
you’re reading this email late, you’ll come
up with exactly FIVE WEEKS.

That’s five weeks until 2007.

Coming soon!

I have stumbled across something totally new. Well, no. It’s been around for a little while, I just hadn’t heard of it, that’s all. The claim is that with this system, your bodyfat will drop dramatically (but safely) without making you lose lean muscle. In fact, you add muscle mass. Well, as it is an all-natural program, I thought I’d give it a shot. Any chemically induced fatloss system is just not an option for me at all!

Do you have high blood pressure?

THE SILENT KILLER EXPOSED

  • Silent Killer Exposed
  • is a book on blood pressure, and the way it can go un noticed for years. It shows how you can lower your blood pressure without costly drugs or suffering their side effects. There is only one “snag”: you must apply what you learn in order for this to work.

You don’t know you have high BP until your doctor tells you, as there are no symptoms. High BP is known as Hypertension, or “the silent killer”.
High BP can be managed and lowered by improving the blood flow through the arteries. This book will tell you how.

    Article by Tom Venuto

Tom Venuto just mailed me this article, and I wanted to be sure as many people as possible read this. I guess not all those reading my blog necessarily know of Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle and Tom Venuto. Whether you do or not, I think you should yourself a favor and read this:

Here you see us with the smaller dog, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (mix or not?)who was rescued in June and the larger one we adopted yesterday. She’s a Golden Retriever. Both were abandonned or lost, both ended up in a shelter/ foster home. The little one, Dani, is about 14 months and a fun and spunky young lady. Sheba has been estimated at 6 years old by the SPCA and 3-4 years old by the vet her foster mom used. Regardless, she is adorable and deserves a good life in a good home.

    Seminar and tatoos

    What a weekend!

We were invited to a seminar on nutrition, in Ottawa. Free tickets, but the hotel and food were not free (of course) and it ended up being a relatively expensive weekend.

The seminar was interesting, we did learn a few new things, and we also made new friends. Well, ok, aquaintances so far, but who could well develop into real friends. And renewed with old friends too on the way.

    Promotions :)

I haven’t done too much of that. Not at all in fact. But I thought, why not? I started this blog at the suggestion of Tom Venuto, author of Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle, and have a link to his site and book of course!

After I’d bought his book and scrupulously followed it (95% compliance with the nutrition, 99% as far as the workouts), I saw that he had co-authored a book called Fit Over 40 and I bought it too, in late January 2006 I think it was. I must admit, I haven’t read it :) so I can’t tell you too much about it. I just browsed the part written by Jon Benson, and thought “good stuff, I’ll get back to it later” but never did. I will though, one day.

    Yet another busy week

    body { margin-left: 10%; margin-right: 10% }

Coming that is. There are only 3 workouts planned, as I also have an important meeting on Tuesday and we’re attending a seminar over the weekend, but this actually fits in with my plans for this year-end. I had decided to start up with 4-day/week workouts again starting mid-November, and I guess the 13th is as mid as the 15th in this context.
