You have to chose between a large brain or big testicles - you cannot have both. At least not if you’re a bat. This is the conclusion of a major, American survey being presented in “Proceedings B” which is published by the British scientific Royal Society. It appears that the promiscuous bat-males with large testicles had much smaller brains than the more faithful types. According to the scientists, the explanation is simple: the production of sperm and brain-mass demands so much energy that you have to chose one or the other! This can’t be transferred directly to humans, because the spermproduction in a male bat totals 8.5% of his bodyweight, and a mere 0.75% in a human male.
